Azra Hirji is a published illustrator, designer and collaborator.
Born in Toronto to East African and South Asian parents, Azra’s work often marries cultural nuances from her Western hometown with her Eastern roots. Her work has been featured in Taste, Serviette Magazine, Family Style , CBC, Slice.ca and can also be seen in hotels, on book covers and on the shelves of grocery stores, pubs, and bars across the globe.
Azra is also the creator of In The Filing Cabinet, a substack at the intersection of art, appetite and culture; drizzled with a spoonful of my mom's green chutney.
In her past life, Azra joined the powerhouse media agency, Mindshare, where she was the Global Marketing Manager at their HQ offices in London, UK.
Today, she spends her time between Lisboa, London and Toronto, using her marketing expertise to bring engaging content to life through the use of digital art and illustration.
